Things to do in Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast is the gem of Southern Italy, known all over the world for the richness of its nature and its beautiful landscapes: overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, it extends along 37 km of coastline and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997.
Characterized by a succession of picture-perfect cliffs, bays, towns and villages - such as Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento, Atrania and Vietri sul Mare - the Amalfi Coast is known for its beautiful architecture, the mild climate, and the marvelous landscapes which have inspired so many artists and travelers throughout the centuries.
The Amalfi Coast is also known for its local products. In addition to the delicious seafood, don't miss the opportunity to try the anchovies and canned fish products of Cetara, the traditional cheese from the Lattari Mountains, the olive oil from the hills of Salerno, and Limoncello - a liqueur obtained from locally grown lemons. Moreover, you'll have a chance to admire Vietri's famous intricately painted ceramics.
There's plenty of things to do in this region: take a dip in the cobalt blue waters, walk along the spectacular Sentiero degli Dei trekking path, or visit the sumptuous Duomo di Amalfi, which dates back to the 9th century.

Reviews Amalfi Coast
“it is not what was advertised, for starters it was pictured as a nice boat where you could relax and sunbathe. instead it was an old fishing boat the worst boat in the entire coast and it barely had seating, and not relaxing at all the boat was so loud. Additionally there has been no opportunity to swim as we please as was advertised”
“Pick up efficient - driver was lovely - when we stopped to swim he was very chatty. We booked based on limoncello tasting - this wasn't offered. Swim didn't feel very safe as we stopped just outside Positano - no special spot. Although a great way to get around and see coastline it wasn't particularly comfortable - an expensive taxi!”
“Guide did not give information about Amalfi. Was unable to see the Amalfi coast from the boat. Because people were standing inside. Therefore was unable to see the coast.”
“The positives: Skilful driver Nice lunch The negatives: Two thirds of the passengers seated on the left hand side of the bus behind the driver could see only glimpses of the 'panoramic and stunning' views seen by those few in the single seats on the right hand side and, of course, by the guide herself. We were led to believe that there would be photo stops during the drive. There were none. The guide was too loud and her spoken English was often difficult to understand. Poorly planned pick ups.”
